The Springfield Buzzards Bid the NNFL Adué

It's with a heavy heart that the Dirty Birds have chosen to leave the NNFL. As a result the Springfield won't be back to defend the 2007 National Nineman Football League Title. Coach Ledbetter said "it was a hard decision for us to choose to move on; we have lots of friends and people we admire as competitors in this league. We just feel the time is right to take on a new challenge."

A new challenge indeed, the Buzzards will be joining the Oregon Football League.  The OFL is Oregon's oldest semi pro league and has the reputation of being Oregon Best!  The OFL is made up of ten teams throughout the state of Oregon. If changing league isn't enough, the Birds also have to convert from 9 to 11 men.
